Welcome, Hotel Retlaw!

The community came together to celebrate the opening of the Hotel Retlaw, a new boutique hotel in Downtown Fond du Lac. This property was originally a hotel back in 1923 and has had several different names and uses over the years. Legendary Hotels, LLC purchased the vacant building in 2018, and the result is a beautiful asset that now serves as Downtown Fond du Lac’s premier hotel and a banquet option for area businesses and families.

A successful renovation of this property into the area’s premier boutique hotel was identified in the Envision Fond du Lac plan as a “moon shot” goal that would have tremendous impact on our economy and our identity as a community.

This project is a great example of the community coming together to make something transformative possible! The project was truly a collaborative effort of many different partners who wished to see this transformative project come to fruition, including: Fond du Lac County, City of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Envision Greater Fond du Lac, Destination Lake Winnebago Region, Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership, Two Rivers Bank, and countless individuals and organizations in the community.

The Hotel Retlaw has something for everyone: luxurious overnight accommodations, fine dining, meeting/event spaces, and a café. Please support this local establishment with your business so it stays open and vibrant for years to come!
